Version 1.5 of the Improved External Products plugin (both the free and pro version) adds support for the WP All Import plugin.
Important Note: WP All Import requires the WooCommerce extension to upload WooCommerce products, which means by default our WP All Import integration also requires the WooCommerce extension.
So let’s get into how it works:
The extension adds a new set of fields to the WP All Import mapping screen. These fields will work for both standard external products and variable products:
When mapping fields, please keep in mind the following:
- If setting button text and URL from the Improved External Products mapping fields you do not need to also set those fields in the WooCommerce Add-On. If both are set, the WooCommerce field will be used. Variable products require the Improved External Products fields to properly map.
- When uploading both variable and external products from the same file, we recommend using the “Set Product Type With XPath” option in the WooCommerce Add-On settings (see image below). If you set everything as variable, you may find that simple external products do not populate correctly.
